A few snippets from our excursion last weekend
to a salvage yard in Billnäs
and the idyllic village of Fiskars,
about an hour's drive west of Helsinki.
Realising how long it had been
since the last time we'd all bundled up in the car
and headed somewhere for the day
just for the fun of it.
Despite the chalky hues in this post,
- enough so that it called for an emergency stop
at the garden centre on the way home.
Beautiful photos with white textures, and full of light...and lovely flowers
Nice weekend Rebecca!
Kaunista niin pehmeitä sävyjä! Tuollaiset reissut on aina kivoja.
Hyvää viikonloppua sinulle Rebecca!

Your photos are a breath of fresh air and sooo inspiring!! Hope you have a great week!
Love the vibe chalkiness gives off when brushed in whites.

Thanks dear nines
- plenty of other influences during our little,
but the lens seemed to be subconsciously drawn
towards the chalks :)

Tuollaiset pikkuretket on kyllä piristysruiskeita.
Porvoo ja Fiskars meillä aika vakkarit,
vaan vähän voisi kyllä vielä lisätä muitakin paikkoja
vakkariarsenaaliin :)
Talk about early-century industrial feel...
The salvage yard had relocated to that building
since our last visit,
the light against the rugged backdrop
was just fantastic.
Always a pleasure to see you here michele, x
Thank you ever so much dear Stina! x
Thank you SizzleandZoom

Thanks dear Dore
- have to say I love chalk whites,
the soft texture, which is far from sterile...
