A quick hello to let you know

that next week our home will be invaded

by a hoard of builders,

as the pipes in our building are being done.

So things will be somewhat quiet over here

for a week or so,

as we escape the mess.

But hey, I'm an insta-newbie,

so we can hook up that way if you fancy :)

(you can track me down at 'sanctuaryinsta').

Pikaisesti huikkaan rauhaisan sunnuntain lomasta,

että ensi viikolla kotimme valtaavat remppamiehet

kun talossamme alkaa putkiremontti.

Kyseessä kevytversio

ja homman pitäisi olla jo viikossa osaltamme ohi.

Siksi aikaa blogin puolella kuitenkin hiljenee.

Mutta hei, olen Instagram-untuvikko

- minut löytää tunnuksella 'sanctuaryinsta',

mikäli satut siellä pyörimään :)

Thanks tinajo :)
Unfortunately it's plain old pipes that are being done
in every apartment in the house,
nothing too exciting...
Looking forward to having our lives back to normal soon :)
Take care, x

Thank you so much Cindy for your words
- have to say that these were a bit of a challenge
with hardly any daylight at the time and being rushed for time...
Wishing you a cosy January Cindy, x

This 'plain & boring' building work
got me thinking that some motivating revamping
would really be in order again :)
Hopefully the bedroom next.
Hey, it was lovely finding you on Instagram, x

Oh yes, I am instagram-addicted! And found so many nice and creative people there! Happy to have you as my newest follower!
Nighty night and nice dreams! x

While the construction is going on remember your home will love you for it when all is completed, making your home that much more a sanctuary.

Beautifully inspiring.

So nice to hook up on instagram Geisslein :)
I know exactly what you mean about the energy for renovating…
such a daunting thought of starting again with more work soon,
as rewarding as it is in the end. x

Rebecca Skye Watson said...

Thanks so much MommyG,
there was a bit of a delay,
but everything went smoothly!

Rebecca Skye Watson said...

Thank you Burlap Luxe,
this work was a 'necessary evil' done in every apartment in the house,
but on the other hand got us set to doing up our bathroom, one day...

Rebecca Skye Watson said...

Well done Veronica, what an achievement!
I must have missed you on instagram, will track you down! x

I cherish that Roversi box, too,
waited until Christmas to open it…
I put a couple in frames for now,
but then miss seeing what's on the other side.
I think they'll keep coming in and out of the box :)

To a year of magical thinking with some wonderful mistakes! x

What brand is your brown handbag? It is lovely- I'm thinking I saw it on Biskopsgarden website in the past? Just love your taste!!

Rebecca Skye Watson said...

Thanks so much Rose Evelyn!
The bag is by Dutch brand Cowboysbag
and the model is Sheffield.
I've been really happy with it,
handmade in lovely soft vintage leather.
I bought mine locally in Helsinki,
not sure if Biskopsgården has those in their range, too.
Hope this helps!

Thank-you so much for sharing your info. Now I remember where I saw it at was a boutique in Portland, Oregon called Tumbleweeds. They carried that brand for a while then I haven't seen any in the US. The bag looks so classic and looks like it would go with anything!
