I was searching for a poem or lovely quote about magnolias
when posting this last one,
but to my amazement did't really find anything...
(all you poets out there,
here's a subject for you :))
But then I discovered The Haiku Guys & Gals,
asked for a haiku about magnolias,
& bang it arrived in my inbox a little while ago,
just in time for the real deal blooming out there.
The scent of hope is definitely lingering in the air...

a walk in the woods at the weekend,
spring's first blooms.
a brook bubbling to its heart's content,
buds pushing through,
fragile & potent at the same time.
everything dappled with light.
