Yesterday we walked along a narrow path, right by the sea, accompanied by the majestic sound of crashing waves. How I love living close to the sea, and autumn time. I leafed through some books and three poppies came flying out, keepsakes from a holiday a few years back in the most amazing of places. Lingering summer memories are making way for thoughts of something new.
P.S. Thank you for every single comment to the last few posts, haven't forgotten, will be back.
Loving your "random musings"! Ihanan kaunista haikeutta näissä kuvissa, (onnellinen) huokaus...
i wish i was closer to the sea! someday.
gorgeous images here.

Kiitos rakas Joanna.
Someday!
It really is an incredible element,
and somehow gives you a feeling that the other side of the world is just a boat ride away,
anything is possible...
Thank you Franka dear!
I had to stop and read a few verses from my book in Middle English there,
and more memories flooded my brain from uni times way back when :)
Bonne et douce journée;

i think you are
a very beautiful
soul. x,h
Indeed, gorgeous images and your words are so appropriate! You could almost see the other side of the world, as in a dream, you could almost smell the salty breeze, you could hear the churning of the thick greenish waves, they look almost oily. And the blonde lady wears some kind of an interesting necklace. The house is built in specific Finish architecture? Lovely. Same for the poppies and the book in Middle English.
I come here knowing that the ramblings are an inspiration for the true and simple beauty of things, people and nature.
Lovely reading your words Doina, and your kind encouragement, thank you!
The blonde lady is actually me wearing a necklace in the lovely shape of a camera, a gift from my dear friend Joanna, who left a comment above :)
I guess the building could be described as typically Scandiavian at least, it's the former home of Finnish national painter Axel Gallén-Kallela but now houses a café. Gallén-Kallela built another home/atelier for himself on the same site, which is now a museum http://www.gallen-kallela.fi/english.html . I really love going there, an incredibly beautiful place.
Merci S, ♥

Extra happy that you left a comment,
so glad to have discovered your world a little while ago, traveling mama! x
dear rebecca, thank you so much for your lovely comment on my blog... your pages are so inspiring!
Doina, the necklace is Maison Scotch. :)
1) Rebecca, thank you so much for the explanation of the house (really beautiful), and the link to the museum - I'll check this as soon as I get home (I'm at my office now, but I couldn't work through the day without opening windows to my favorite blogs, to take a peek during short breaks.) Also, nice to meet you, lady-with-the-golden-hair!
2) Joanna, thank you for the info. I'll check them, who knows, maybe I find something there. I like the style.
Warm hugs from across the Atlantic,
Doina
